It’s a sad day. I suddenly felt bad towards the end of the day for undetermined reasons. So as I was walking home, I decided to drop by Mister Donut and get myself something with chocolate in it because chocolate never failed to amuse me. So I came up with that. I felt cheered up by *this* much but still I continued to walk with my head dropped to the ground. I found myself smiling when I saw Jessica and her big grin. She was riding on a tricycle and the friendly tricycle driver, Manong Bumbay whom I knew shouted out a quick “hi” followed by a warm smile :-). It felt so sincere and kind. Who thought that those little smiles and warm hi’s could actually touch and lighten up a cold lonely person walking on the side of the street. Smiles do really make a big difference in everything. I’m glad I saw them. It’s like God sent them to be there at the perfect time to paint a smile on my face. It’s nice to see little things like this at times when you feel so down about something. So keep smiling. You’ll never know how it could make someone who’s having a tough time forget her problems for a moment and realize that the world is still filled with kindness lurking in the streets. :-)))))
